Accessibility
We want Post-Generative to work well for everyone – whether you use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or a smartphone. This statement applies to the public pages of postgenerative.at and postgenerativ.at. The internal editorial area is not covered.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. The deviations are listed below under “Known limitations”.
What was tested
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out on 11 October 2026. All page types (home, indications, single indication, definition, statements, contribute with both forms, imprint, privacy policy, error page) were tested in German and English:
- Automated testing with axe-core against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, levels A and AA.
- Colour contrast of all text, calculated according to WCAG: at least 4.5:1, 3:1 for large text (1.4.3).
- Keyboard-only use: order, visible focus, skip link to the content, no keyboard traps (2.1.1, 2.4.1, 2.4.3, 2.4.7).
- Display at 320 px width without horizontal scrolling and with increased letter, word and line spacing (1.4.10, 1.4.12).
- Heading structure, page titles and landmarks (1.3.1, 2.4.2, 2.4.6).
- Language of the page and of parts, e.g. contributions available in only one language (3.1.1, 3.1.2).
- Forms: labels, required fields, hints and error messages that screen readers also announce; after a failed submission, focus moves to the first field concerned (1.3.1, 3.3.1, 3.3.2).
- Text alternatives for images and size of click targets (1.1.1, 2.5.8).
What we pay attention to
- The pages use semantic HTML with header, navigation, main content and footer. A “Skip to content” link bypasses the navigation.
- Colours are defined centrally and designed for level AA contrast. Every control shows a clear outline when it receives focus.
- System settings are respected: with “Increase contrast”, small text becomes larger and source references are underlined; with “Reduce motion”, animations are switched off.
- The cover images of the indications are purely decorative and hidden from screen readers. Images in contributions require a description when submitted; the editors check it before publication.
- If a contribution is not available in the selected language, it is shown in its original language and marked up so that screen readers pronounce it correctly.
- The website sets no cookies and shows no consent banners. Embedded videos and posts are only loaded after you click a labelled button; without JavaScript a link to the original is shown instead.
Known limitations
The following content is only partially accessible or not accessible:
- Embedded content: Videos from YouTube and posts from Instagram, X and LinkedIn are shown in the provider’s player or view. Their accessibility (e.g. captions, controls) is outside our control. A link to the original is shown below every embed.
- Spam protection: The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, whose accessibility is outside our control. If you cannot pass the spam protection, feel free to send your contribution by email (see below).
- Small text: Some labels (e.g. tags, tagline, footer) are set in a small size in the default view. They become larger with browser zoom or the “Increase contrast” setting.
- Third-party contributions: Some indications, statements and comments are submitted by others. The quality of image descriptions and text structure depends on them, but we review it before publication.
